Hurricane Helene Impacts Insurance Policies

The aftermath of Hurricane Helen continues to impact several eastern states with millions without power, cities under water and roads washed away. FEMA has declared a national emergency and is working with local agencies to recover parts of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Cancelations or non-renewals of policies in many of the states affected by Hurricane Helene for non-payment of premiums will be suspended for at least 60 days from the date of loss for members suffering property damage, injuries or loss of life.
